A new chapter for the Hellenic Club.

For more than 15 years, our City Club has been part of the Hellenic Club story - a place where members have gathered, celebrated and connected in the heart of Canberra.

Today, we’re sharing an important update about its future, and about the exciting path ahead for our club.

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to close our City location in May.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly. The City Club has played a valued role in the lives of many of our members, and we are proud of everything it has represented over the past decade and a half.

Looking ahead, our focus is firmly on the future of the Hellenic Club and the opportunity to create something even more significant for our members and community.

That future is the Hellenic Precinct.

Our masterplan for Woden will transform the site into a vibrant, expanded destination, bringing together dining, entertainment and community in one place. It’s a long-term vision designed to deliver more choice, more experiences and a stronger sense of connection for our members.

By concentrating our efforts and investment into this precinct, we can build a club that is not only sustainable, but thriving for generations to come.

Importantly, all team members from our City Club will be offered equivalent roles at Woden. Supporting our people through this transition is a priority, and we are committed to ensuring continuity for both staff and members.

For our members, it’s business as usual. Your membership and benefits remain unchanged, and our Woden club will continue to evolve as we bring the Hellenic Precinct to life.
